Flexible Finger Bar: Sturdy polymer finger bar applies pressure on the distributor, guiding material while controlling quantity dropped. Designed to maintain it’s memory and flexibility in cold environments.

Tension Lever: Standard across models, this assembly is designed to control the amount of pressure the finger bar places on the drum.

Distributor Drum: Helically placed tabs drop material in a cross-hatched spread pattern that maximizes use. All stainless material.

Agitator: Effectively breaks up chunks of de-icing material to ensure consistent flow. All stainless material.

Stainless Sealed Bearings: Included for minimal maintenance.

Sand Drum (Standard)

• The sand drum is constructed with powder-coated mild steel, and features small tabs welded in a helical patten across it’s surface. These tabs release pressure on the finger bar as the drum rotates, releasing material. The helical pattern creates a cross-hatched drop, which ensures an efficient spread of material.

• The sand drum is standard across models unless alternate option is specified at the time of ordering.

Salt Drum

• The salt drum is constructed with tivar rollers that feature small pockets, milled in a helical pattern across it’s surface. These pockets allow for material to sit inside and drop as the drum rotates past the finger bar. The helical pattern creates a cross-hatched drop, which ensures an efficient spread of material.

• The salt drum is recommended only when rock salt will be used exclusively.

Based on unique features, each type of de-icer behaves differently with the finger-bar and drum setup. Before adding material, add tension to the drum and adjust accordingly to reach the desired drop rate.

If the unit fails to operate within one year from date of purchase because of defects in materials or workmanship, Bauman Manufacturing will, at its option, either replace or repair such components for the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse or abuse, water, tampering, servicing performed or attempted by unauthorized agencies, or units that have been modified in any fashion. If the components do not perform as warranted herein, the original purchaser’s sole remedy will be the repair or replacement of the components as provided above. Bauman Manufacturing products are not intended for applications where a failure could result in a costly, dangerous or life-threatening situation. Bauman Manufacturing will not be held responsible for damages or losses greater than the cost of the Bauman Manufacturing replacement parts. In no event will Bauman Manufacturing be liable for damages, lost revenue, lost wages, lost savings or any other incidental or consequential damages, domestic or international, rising from the purchase and use or inability to use the components, even if Bauman Manufacturing has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Except as provided herein, Bauman Manufacturing makes no warranties, express or implied, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to the components. All warranties for the components, express or implied, are limited to the warranty period set forth above.
