The History of Bauman Manufacturing

  • Bauman Manufacturing was Established

In 1972, Titus Bauman established Bauman Manufacturing and began constructing and distributing replacement chains to clients in Conestoga, Ontario. As the demand for replacement aftermarket chains and aprons increased Bauman began to sell their products through a growing network of Farm Equipment Dealers.

    In 1972

  • Custom Stabling for Dairy Barns

Starting in 1974, custom stabling became an essential component of the company’s product line. As demand for supplying new dairy barns with animal confinement equipment continues, stabling remains fundamental to Bauman today.

    In 1974

  • Elevators & Conveyors

In 1990, Bauman Manufacturing added the Ebersol line of inclined elevators and conveyors. This allowed the company to expand its agricultural equipment line to further support farmers and their businesses with affordable, durable bale elevators and feed conveyors.

    In 1990

  • Conestoga Chains

In 1991, the purchase of Conestoga Chain increased Bauman’s market share and opened up the industrial supply market with a broader range of chains.

    In 1991

  • New Location

In 2001, to better serve customers, Bauman Manufacturing moved to the heart of the Waterloo County agriculture community, Elmira, Ontario. This newer, more accessible facility allowed Bauman to continually grow and provide a wider variety of custom manufactured equipment.

    In 2001

  • Growing & Expanding

As demand for quality parts at reasonable prices increased, Bauman began to source the best products from suppliers around the world and built more warehouses to keep a larger inventory in stock. Bauman now supplies local manufacturers (OEM’s) with a continuous inventory of manufactured components, chain and power transmission parts. Bauman is doing their part to keep the agricultural industry moving forward to supply our food producers with the latest in agriculture technology.

    Mid 2000's

  • Binacchi PTO Drive Shaft Distributor

In 2016, Bauman Manufacturing became the Canadian distributor for Binacchi PTO Drive Shafts. Offering this high-quality and competitively-priced line of Power Take Off shafts to local manufacturers allowed Bauman to open more business doors and placed the company in the OEM market.
